Welcome to the official website of Irish Sikh Council, the representative body of Sikh community in Ireland. Founded in 2004, Irish Sikh Council has been representing Sikh community at various national and international events. This website will give you brief introduction about Irish Sikh Council and its activities. If you are a victim of hate/bias crimes please provide us the details of the incident, to assist you with recieving proper support and justice. Any information you provide will be kept strictly confidential and not disclosed without your prior consent. Please also ensure that you do report hate/bias-related crimes/incidents to the Gardai (police), as they can only act if they are made aware of such incidents.

 

Martyrdom Day (Guru Arjan Dev Ji, apostle of peace): May 25, 2012.
Sikh community commemorates the martyrdom of Guru Arjan Dev, the fifth Guru and the first Sikh Martyr who gave his life setting an inspiring example of selflessness and steadfast courage in the face of overwhelming oppression. Guru Arjan Dev Ji compiled and collated the Hymns of the previous Sikh Gurus as the foundation of the Guru Granth Sahib. More details to follow soon...
